Our story

Built by surfers who got tired of the M4

The nearest decent wave used to be a four-hour drive away. So we built one in Wembley instead.

2023 — present

From a warehouse daydream to NW London’s only surf break

Crest started with two Cricklewood housemates, a whiteboard and a shared frustration: you couldn’t surf anywhere near home. Every swell meant a pre-dawn drive to the West Country and a long, salty crawl back up the M4 in the dark.

In 2023 we took on a tired logistics warehouse off Fulton Road, gutted it, and spent eighteen months installing two adjustable wave systems, a learner lagoon and a bar where the loading bay used to be. We opened our doors in the spring of 2024.

Today Crest is where total beginners catch their first wave, kids spend their birthdays, and seasoned surfers keep sharp between coastal trips. No tides, no traffic, no wetsuit envy — just consistent, brilliant waves five minutes from the Jubilee line.

What we stand for

Three things we never compromise on

Safety, always

A qualified lifeguard watches every session and our coaches are first-aid trained. Soft boards, controlled waves and clear briefings mean you can push yourself with total confidence.

Everyone’s welcome

Six-year-olds, nervous first-timers, stag dos and surf nuts — the lineup at Crest looks like North-West London, and we like it that way. No attitude, no gatekeeping, just good waves.

Proper coaching

Our coaches actually surf — coastally, competitively, obsessively. They read riders fast, give feedback that lands, and genuinely love the moment you stand up for the first time.

The crew on the side

Meet the coaches

MR

Maya Rendall

Founder & Head Coach

Surfed Croyde before she could ride a bike. Maya leads our coaching team and still teaches the Saturday beginner lessons herself.

TO

Theo Okafor

Co-founder & Flowrider Lead

The other half of the warehouse daydream. Theo runs the flowrider, fixes everything that moves, and pulls a mean flat-white at the lagoon bar.

PN

Priya Nair

Kids’ Wave School Lead

A primary teacher turned surf coach. Priya designed our kids’ programme and somehow keeps thirty over-excited under-tens perfectly happy.

JM

Jordan Mills

Senior Lifeguard

RLSS-qualified and unflappable. Jordan keeps every session safe and is the calm voice that talks first-timers onto their first wave.
