Everyone can shoot
We've coached eight-year-olds, eighty-year-olds and everyone between. No athletic background needed — good technique beats brute strength every time, and that's teachable.
That anyone — genuinely anyone — can learn to shoot well, given the right coaching and a calm place to do it. Everything we've built since started there.
Quiver started in 2017 when our founder, a club archer frustrated that every London range was either fully booked or an hour away, talked a landlord into letting her run weekend tasters in an empty railway arch off Fitzjohn's Avenue. One target boss, a handful of hire bows, and a sign-up sheet pinned to the brick.
It turned out half of North London wanted to try. Within a year the weekends were full and there was a waiting list for coaching. We took the arch next door, then the one after that, and fitted out a permanent six-lane, 18-metre indoor range with proper backstops, lane lighting and a coaching bay.
Today Quiver is an Archery GB-affiliated club with nine qualified coaches and a membership in the hundreds. But the idea hasn't changed: take the intimidation out of the sport, put a bow in anyone's hands, and let the focus do the rest.

A well-run range is a calm range. Clear whistle commands, supervised lines, maintained kit and qualified coaches on every session. Confidence grows where people feel safe.
No foam-tipped party games dressed up as archery. We teach the real sport — proper form, real bows, real targets — because the satisfaction of a true arrow can't be faked.
