Recent work, measured by the detail.

A closer look at how we approach period homes across North-West London — the brief, what we did, and the outcome our clients actually live with.

A full rewire without lifting the restored floors

The brief

A family had spent two years restoring original parquet and cornicing in their 1908 home — then discovered the wiring was failing. They needed a complete rewire that wouldn't undo any of that work.

What we did

We planned cable routes through the loft, voids and a single lifted carpet upstairs, fed a new 18-way consumer unit, and added concealed USB points and discreet floor sockets — all certified and signed off.

An EV charger that disappears down the side return

The brief

A new electric car, a long driveway and a homeowner who didn't want a bright plastic box bolted to the front of a handsome brick frontage.

What we did

We carried out a load assessment, ran the supply cable neatly along the side return in matched trunking, fitted a graphite 7kW charger and handled the DNO notification — commissioned and tested the same afternoon.

Smart, scene-set lighting for an open-plan ground floor

The brief

An interior designer wanted layered lighting for a knocked-through kitchen-diner — cooking light, dining light and a soft evening scene — all without a wall of switches.

What we did

We designed four lighting circuits, installed warm-dim fire-rated downlights and concealed LED coving, then programmed three one-touch scenes onto a single elegant keypad and the homeowner's phone.

A failed EICR turned into a safe, certified home

The brief

A landlord inherited a tenanted property with an unsatisfactory EICR — borrowed neutrals, no RCD protection and a fuse box well past its day. It needed to be made safe and compliant quickly.

What we did

We prioritised the C1 and C2 items, upgraded the consumer unit to full RCBO protection, corrected the wiring faults and re-tested every circuit — issuing a satisfactory report and certificate within the week.
